The Reporting Party Case Study Pharmacy

The reporting party (RP) disclosed arriving at the facility at approximately 5:15PM to deliver narcotic medication. Once inside the facility the RP attempted to locate staff members to deliver medication from the pharmacy. According to the RP a search was perform to locate staff members in the front office, nurse’s station, and the dining room to no avail. A resident was exiting her bedroom and was questioned regarding the whereabouts of a caregiver. The resident responded "your guess is as good as mine." Therefore the RP asked the resident to push her call button. After waiting for more than 10 minutes the RP proceeded to the second floor to speak with her client Lynn Straight in room #210. Again the RP asked Lynn to press her call button,
