The Renaissance man is just a phrase to describe the men of that era. It was very popular to say this because the men of that era were very similar. Many of them, had the same goals in life and had the same characteristics. A renaissance man wore expensive and decorative clothing. He liked fine dining and exquisite music. A renaissance man, also, liked to have paintings done of himself as of a way to express his wealth and power. A person who embodies these characteristics in today’s society would be an actor. An actor in today’s society s wealthy, dresses elaborately, and lives extravagantly. He/she likes to have pictures made as well. Fame in today’s society is a way of giving them power. The main goal of a renaissance man is to gain wealth.
