The religion of Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. However, there are still misconceptions about the Islamic faith and its followers. This goes back to the theory of worldviews. That the lack of information on a topic can have negative effects on how someone interprets the world around them. In today’s society, Islam is in the spot light due to current events like the Hajj happening in Mecca. This is why it is important to research and understand the basic principles and ideals behind this faith. I have pulled different aspects of the Islamic culture such as from the scripture of the Quran, the words of the prophet Muhammad in the Hadith, the Five Pillars of Islam, and the Islamic law to form a more accurate understanding of Muslims and recent events.

First, I would like to examine the examples from the different aspects of Islamic culture I have chosen to focus on. To begin, the Quran is the sacred scripture and foundation of Islam written by God through the prophet Muhammad. In this book the faith is defined, and rules and examples are given to help its followers live the faith of Abraham in the light of the Lord and away from sin and darkness. One of the things it talks about is the holy city of Mecca and the importance to pay homage to it in 3:95-97:
