The Relationship Between The Gendering Of Toys

The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between the gendering of toys and why corporations found it necessary to market them. The goal is to show that corporation’s purposely maintained the gender binary by making toys non-gender neutral to maximize profit. This has been done by examining how toys were marketed toward children in the 70s vs now. Upon examination, the results indicate that corporations specifically in the 90 heavily gendered toys and separated them accordingly, which adversely affected children and their methods of identifying themselves.
The implication of this research suggests that vendors sustained gender difference. They did not on the purpose of sexism though it influenced it, but for the purpose
