The bitter relationship between Johnson and Bobby Kennedy had many factors that built into the relationship. One aspect that has shaped the relationship is that while LBJ is a self made man working his way up to the senate, Bobby had never really been an elected official. However, what really started the feud, was when LBJ invited Bobby to his ranch and when Bobby shot at a deer it caused a cut above his eye and LBJ said that Bobby needed to learn how to shoot like a man and that offended Bobby.
