After reading The House on Mango Street, I´ve encountered two characters that stood out to me the most. One of the characters that stood out to me was Esperanza the main character in the book. The other character was Esperanzas younger sister,¨nenny¨ whose real name was Magdalena. Throughtout the story a relationship was created between the two characters in the book. Within this writing, It includes the analyzation of the relationship between the two sisters.
To begin with, Esperanza was a very amusing character. Esperanza being the older sister, doesn’t like the fact that Nenny is her responsibility. This is important because it shows that Esperanza does not appriciate her younger sister Nenny. Esperanza imagines to live In her own world. A world where she can escape from all her problems.
On the other hand, Nenny , the younger sister, has a different point of view. Magdalena seems to not follow her older sister as much. Nenny imagines living in a much different world than Esperanza. In the beginning of the book Nenny starts giving each

One of the words being, Personal. Within the story there were a couple reason why their relationship was personal. One reason being is that Esperanza and Nenny are family. Automatically you should assume they have a personal relationship because they are sisters. Another reason why I would say their relationship is person is because in the story it talked about how Esperanza and Nenny shared a couple of laughs together. This is important because it shows they are having a great time. The other word I would use to describe their relationship would be unstable. I say it was unstable because there was a couple of moments where the two sisters didn’t get quite along. In the book, there was an incident where Esperanza, in her thoughts, she said that Nenny was stupid. This is important because it shows the type of relationship they
