A series of accusations, trials, and executions created a wave of fear throughout the country of France, also known as the Reign of Terror. The Reign of Terror was created by the Mountain to prevent the people of France from having a revolution against the government, which led them to killing innocent people to protect themselves. After the disturbance of the revolution, Napoleon Bonaparte, a brilliant young military leader steps in and ends up becoming the new leader of France. However, if the Reign of Terror did not occur, I think Napoleon would not have ruled France because he used the commotion of the French Revolution to slip into the leader position.
