Reflection On Nursing Care

The purpose of my paper is to demonstrate the nursing care for a patient at my clinical rotation whom I chose for my required uniformed assignment. The registered nurse whom I was following on that day allowed me to asses for the lung sounds and I was able to observe when the nursing care was delivered. To protect the privacy of the patient, I am using only one letter initial which is the letter randomly I chose. To accomplish the goal of this assignment, I start with the background information of the patient.
Background information summary Mr. B is 72 years old Caucasian male who came to hospital on January 25, 2018. On his admission assessment, Mr. B stated that “he had a chest pain, cough, shortness of breath, light headedness, and dizziness”. His past medical history includes Rheumatoid arthritis, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) with hiatal hernia, benign prostate hypertrophy (BPH), and erectile dysfunction (ED). His family health history shows the brother has a heart disease. He was never a smoker. He drinks alcohol 4-6 beers on weekends. Admitted medical diagnosis indicates cardiac arrhythmia and pneumonia. When we did the beginning shift assessment, the patient was alert and oriented, ambulating, afebrile, he is NPO, and he had temporary pacemaker placed on. I was able to identify abnormal lung sound
