This paper will show all the work that I have done in english 10104. The work that is being evaluated are papers one through four. Paper one was a paper that described the fourth-class system. The Gullah culture in Charleston is what I researched in paper two. My third paper was addressing the problems between cadet athletes and regular cadets here at The Citadel. The last paper that I completed in 10104 was kind of opinionated essay that talked about whether the fourth-class system should stay or go. First I would like to talk about my writing process. Most of my classmates can just pull up a blank word document and start typing of the top of their heads. Unfortunately I do not work well like that. I have to write all of my papers out first. In my own confidence I believe that my last paper was much cleaner than the others. In paper four, I made sure that I took out the sources that I did not use. I also made sure that I cited my work in the essay. Surprisingly, paper four was the easiest paper I wrote all semester. I hope my grade on it was not as bad as I think.
This semester, I have become more comfortable writing in MLA format. I have also gotten better at using citations, which was something that I had problems with over the summer. It has gotten easier for me to put my citations together but, inputting them into the essay has given me a few problems. I want to take time to talk about my bibliographies. Having to make bibliographies helps me figure out exactly what I am writing about.
In conclusion, I have definitely seen some progress in my writing. I have been able to work more efficiently than I did in the past. I have improved on citing my work and now I have found something else to work on. Next semester I will definitely be focusing on my sentences and proofreading my work. The work that I did this semester definitely opened my eyes to being more
