I truly feel that this has helped me to have a better business mind in that I feel that I have a more clear understanding of important concepts. Another thing that this course has helped me to work on is the aspect of teamwork and accomplishing a goal as a group. I have discovered the areas that I have been successful in as well as the many areas that I will need to make improvements. For example, prior to this class I had no knowledge of the X and Y theories. Now I realize that I operated with the mindset of a theory X manager and had the same thought process about all employees collectively, which in return made me less effective and resulted in not reaching maximum production. I currently will apply this knowledge to communicate more effectively with my current managers and to better recognize what theory they most resemble and why they interact with me on the level that they do. This class will also assist me greatly in my future goals to own a business in which I possibly will have to manage multiple people in different departments.…

When I first began this class I thought that this would be just another introductory class that is required to orient you to the expectations of the particular college. Now, after completing this class, I know that this is not the case. Personal Dimensions of Learning has been a great help, not only to my school work, but also in my daily life. Before taking this class, I thought that learning, and completing daily tasks, were mostly memorizing the order of the way things are supposed to be done and just completing the task. I never liked this strategy, but it always seemed to be the most convenient way to get things done at school, home, and work.…
