The Reflection Of Resource Theory: The Conservation Of Resources Theory

Decent Essays
The Conservation of Resources Theory covers both work and non-work environment experiences. This is an imaginary path people follow in order to have access to resources that are available, absorbing the full effect of the resources and having a way to protect those resources that are available. Unfortunately, the work environment has begun to minimize our ability to take advantage of these resources. These resources include objects, conditions, personal resolution and energies. This is because when in a work setting resources are limited and often forgotten about. This is due to the amount of stress one may be feeling at work. Recovery plays an important role when work demands are eliminated. When these demands are eliminated a person no longer …show more content…
It was the only thing I knew when practicing the problems because I was not exposed to another form of learning. Since this was the only was I learned the information and I was able to pick up the information quickly I figured it was the best way for me to learn and understand. So being introduced to a new style of learning the information I felt as though it was entirely different. In the beginning it was difficult to obtain the new strategies of making charts and avoiding formula heavy methods when possible. It felt as though the two classes were completely different, even though it was the same book and examples being taught. It was frustrating to know I was not picking up the information I knew so well before. I came to realize and develop a new sense of learning while taking this course because it showed me a different perspective to how things are taught. I believe every professor has their own way of teaching and it is important to understand and develop the skills they are sharing not only to pass but use in other classes. This has given me a way of seeing no class will be the same and it is important to adjust and learn different ways that can be used and even seen as a preference. I have found this to be true in multiple classes beyond statistics specifically, Kinesiology. Since this was my first Kinesiology course I did not know what to expect from the information and how it …show more content…
After a class I do not think about doing a quiz online because I am used to taking quizzes in the classroom. The flexibility of giving so much time seemed to make it harder since I never experienced a class like it before. The information was not difficult, but the difficulty was remembering and checking my iLearn page everyday to be sure I completed the assigned quiz. I include this as an example, as mastery experience because I was able to break my habit of not thinking about a class after I take it and to focus on that class more while the information is still fresh. I was able to develop certain skills I did not know could improve my way of handling work in my other classes as well. The strategy of checking iLearn every day for each class to be certain it was completed within the restricted time did not develop until the end of the semester but it will help in classes I enroll in after this

A brief review of the book “The Little Book of Restorative Justice,” by Howard Zehr, is based upon one idea, how should this society respond to wrong doings and what should be done with the victims and offenders? The book begins by telling us that the criminal justice system is not meeting the needs of the people with in that system, ultimately the system is failing however there still may be some good qualities. Zehr expresses that, “restorative justice is an attempt to address some of the needs and limitations,” (3) and by doing this he first tells his audience what restorative justice is not, to give us, his readers a better understanding of what it really is. Also to you could say that he does this so we can have a stronger foundation while learning what, The Little Book of Restorative Justice,” is and not being completely biased…
