My Philosophy Of Education Analysis

My philosophy of education lies mainly in the individual's subjective thought practice which students entirely progress based on their own ideas and opinions to provoke inner treasure of teaching about how to be oneself truly. “I think therefore I am” (Rene Descartes, 2017) A person without the ability to think, then there will be no improvement in academic excellence and thinking, there will also be no spiritual fullness. However, thinking is not enough, and students still need to have a clear goal in life. With this in mind, education is not just to conduct the student’s life by ringing bells and they do nothing but amenably follow instructions of teachers. In ample restrictions, the progressivists advocate child-based education because the learning process is largely done by children's own decision, but not left to the student’s discretion. The student centered approach is a common teaching method. My teaching philosophy will abide the core doctrine of progressivism that is relevant to “education is life”. Even though similar with the progressive thinking, of course, learning should not be in competitive attitude and behavior toward my philosophy.     The responsibility of a constructivist teacher is to guide the students to mastery and become independent, self-regulated learners. Student with disabilities need the continuous support provided to them by their teacher, making the constructivist learning theory difficult for these types of students to become successful.
