With these experiences, I have been able to learn from their different types of leadership styles. From these individuals, I have been able to notice several characteristics that seem to be a consist pattern between all these great leaders. One of the greatest qualities I have learned is to learn from failed experiences. At our third meeting for Christian Business Leaders it seemed as if we had hit a organization wall, in a position where we were not able to gain more members. We had only seven people show up to the meeting. Thinking it was a fluke, we did not think anything of it. At our fourth meeting, we had eight people show up. I knew that I had to lead our leadership team had develop a solution to turn these failed meetings into success, beneficial meetings. I developed a plan for member retention and involvement, evolving around the idea that it is not necessarily the amount of people that show up, but rather the value that the people who did come, walk away with. It serves a team well to have a representation of strengths. Instead of one dominant leader who tries to do everything or individuals who all have similar strengths, contributions from team members lead to a strong and cohesive team. It takes a true leader in order to speak out and invest time into their team members.
