Mad Max Fury Road takes a close look on the environmental impacts that humans have had on the world. There are many clues pointing to the many factors that “killed the world”. If humans keep treating the world as they do then the world will end up in a very dark place, similar to that portrayed in the movie. Pollution, not recycling, abusing recourses, rapid climate change, etc. are all leading factors to the destruction of the world. The movie portrays a post-apocalyptic world in which humans have to fight for recourses and are stripped of their basic human needs. The exact reason why the world ended up that way is unknown. However, if one does not take care of the Earth then the Earth cannot provide in return. This is evidence by the humans …show more content…
The first scene portrays this by having Max eat a two-headed lizard without any hesitation. These trees and plants have been wiped out due to the lack of human’s attention to the recourses around them. Humans have degenerated due to their own lack of taking care of the Earth that they live on. The same people “who killed the world” are the ones who can fix …show more content…
Pollution by cars, excessive use of non-renewable recourses, climate change, etc. are all due to the human’s footprint. The only way to change the way the world ended up in the movie is to act upon it. The women seek the green land but they could create a world full of green land again. In the end, they fight all the way back to the Citadel. With Furiosa in power they have the opportunity to make good change in the world. Therefore, if humans do not take care of the world they are living in then it cannot provide for them in
