The Rear Window Analysis

Since I have always been exposed to contemporary films, I use to believe in their superiority over classic films. But, in the last two weeks, I have had the opportunity to watch a few classic movies that challenged my vision about this topic. During the last week, I choose to watch two movies as a Hollywood Classic Style like His Girl Friday and The Rear Window. From my personal experience with these movies, it has just been amazing, the first film captivated me by its realism, clear narrative; how the filmmaker mastered to tell the story, and the link between one event to another, keeping me as a spectator engaged with the narrative and its drama. In addition, the film had a moral message and violent scenes were almost absent. In addition, films include more action or violence in its context, compare to classic movies. Moreover, contemporary movies bring to the public a new approach to drama and characters, with events chronology mixed up and twisted. Also, most of the films don’t have a cause-effect and psycho elements, compare with classic movies, that are characterized by these two elements. As a conclusion, films style has changed dramatically from the point of how movies are telling the plot, its narrative, and the actor's characterization. In addition, the implementation of new technologies and techniques has improved the way how we view films. Movies from the first beginning have been a form of art, that has rebuilt itself over the years, modifying how story are told, including new techniques and technologies, making the industry more powerful generation by generation, from back in the days until
