I then noticed people, like my friends and family had disappear, which I though was strange. I tried to contact them or even look for them but they were nowhere to be found. Then I realized that I have been left behind in the rapture.
Why me, I’m a born again Christian, a Pastor. What could I have done to upset the Lord, what wicked thing/act did I do. Now it’s up to me to survive the Tribulation and be true to my Almighty Creator. To not give into the deception of the devil.

I still remember to this day that most of the population will be wiped out through means of a sword, famine and wild beast. I thought to myself “is the lord listening to me, will he save me from these acts of terror and come to my rescue” I managed to survive each day for the glimmer of hope that the Lord will save me.

The sky is dark, damp, and warm, the slight red undertones are glowing through the clouds. I never expected something like this to happen in my short lifetime, Mauna Loa was erupting for the first time in twenty-five years. I watched as the ash rained down on the roofs of nearby houses, coating the entire town in what could have been perceived as warm, black snow. I felt my heart rise into my throat, causing me to choke out a dry sob. I was twenty-one, I finally had a house, and now I was going to die in this massive storm of lava and rubble.…

This summer I had the privilege to travel to Atchison, Kansas, where I attended the Life Teen Leadership Conference at Benedictine College. This conference was not only the best week I have ever experienced, but it was a week filled with many Catholic teens joined together in learning how we can live out our Catholic faith, and what it means to be a leader at school, home, and church. During this conference I encountered a bible verse that opened my eyes and truly resonated with my heart, making me rethink my life and how I was living it. “Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me, cannot be my disciple” Luke 14:27. I had heard this verse before at church many years before this event, but in that moment at LTLC, the world stopped…
