The short story The Ransom of Red chief by O.henry the author uses humor to affect the reader. For example Red chief is not like all kids who want to go home. When kidnapped he likes it. The two robbers Bill and Sam feels weird about Red chief. Red chief likes to be kidnapped. ¨Äll right!¨ says he. ¨That'll be fine. I never had such fun in all my life.¨ Red Chief does not really care of being kidnapped from his home he likes it because he has soo much fun with the Bill and Sam.
