Tony agrees with a head nod.
Just as the team was heading out for the night, they receive a call. It’s the Bartoli’s, April’s parents.
“Hello. We just received a call from this man. He goes by the name of Pete. He told us he has April and even gave us proof by letting us hear her voice.” Mrs. Bartoli stated with nervousness.
“Oh my. Did he say anything else such as if he would give her back?” Lisa asked.
“Yes. He told us we can have April back for the cost of five hundred thousand dollars. He wanted the briefcase of money under the bench on the west side of the park downtown at eight o'clock sharp tomorrow night.” said Mrs. Bartoli.
“Well, is the money a problem for you?” Lisa asked.
“No, but the problem would be getting all cash from the bank with such a short notice.” Mrs. Bartoli said with a doubtful tone. “I’ll be able to make it work.” Lisa stated with confidence.
Lisa and Tony made a couple quick phone calls and were now ready for the insane day to come.
With that, the conversation ended and the Bartoli’s were ready to have their wonderful daughter back.
