The year of 2016 is quite unique because it holds so many monumental moments for the United States during the presidential race . This year every registered voter in America gets to take part in choosing the next president of the United States. The race for president in 2016 has already held so many surprises and it still has more to come. It is quite common for candidates to come from similar backgrounds, qualities, and political experience. Except, from the pool of candidates this year the nation see’s a wide spectrum of people. In the spectrum there is Donald Trump who is a businessman who earned a lot of his money from pageants, there is Hillary Clinton who in all fairness is the only woman who has ever had an actual shot at becoming president, …show more content…
Hillary Clinton ( maiden name Hillary Rodham) is a very successful candidate who is favored to win the Democratic nominee for president. Hillary Clinton is currently serving as a politician, a lawyer, and author. Hillary Clinton is 68 years old and she was born in Chicago, Illinois on October, 26th 1947. Her parents, her, and her two brothers grew up in a picturesque suburb where her father worked fabric store owner. Originally, Hillary was actually a Republican and she campaigned for Republican nominee Barry Goldwater. But, in 1968 she was inspired by a speech Martin Luther King Jr. gave and she became a democrat. Hillary Clinton attended Wellesley College and graduated in 1969 as senior class president. She then attended Yale Law School, where she met her husband, Bill Clinton. Hillary Clinton graduated in 1973 with honors. After that, she enrolled at Yale Child Study Center, where she took courses on children and medicine. Her first time in Washington D.C. was in the summer of 1971 where she worked on former U.S. Senator Walter Mondale’s migrant committee. Clinton became a member of the presidential impeachment staff and helped the House of Representatives during the Watergate Scandal in 1974. Hillary Clinton became a member of the University of Arkansas Law School where her soon-to-be husband was working as well. She does not identify with either the Republican or Democratic party but she thinks entirely on her own. She is not very well known but strong women of faith. She has not shared much about her life besides the fact that she lives in Kentucky. Her faith is unshakable and she believes strongly in God’s plan for humanity. One her platforms include her strong opposing opinion on Genetically Modified Organisms in food. She blames GMO for childhood obesity. Sterling is also a strong advocate for pro-life. She specifically objects in using taxpayer money to fund abortions. Because of her strong belief in God and her unique views she believes that she could be an excellent president. Although there is not much known about Sterling people can clearly see that she has major commitment and confidence. Her confidence is clear because she is running as a third party
