The moral argument states that every person has an already established idea of what is wrong and what is right. Highfield explains this concept by saying that “all human beings have a sense of right and wrong, make moral judgements, and have a sense of justice” (Highfield, 2008, pp. 92) meaning that every person has an idea of what is acceptable. Every person has an idea of what justice is and what is good and what is evil from nature. The moral argument uses this truth to say that there is no reason why a person born on one side of the earth should have the same sense of right and wrong as someone born on the other side of the earth other than God instilled it in both of them. The moral argument assumes that God is the only viable reason for each human’s consciousness. However, a point of opposition against the moral argument says that every human’s born knowledge of right and wrong is from evolution and the ideas are meant to insure the survival of the species.
