The Queen of Katwe is a film based on a woman who lives in a poor area of her home town. She is drawn to the game of chest and soon learns how to play. This woman grows to be intelligent in the game of chest and finds herself competing in championships. Throughout the movie it shows color, culture and a theme to give a visual of her feelings. Isn’t that art? To express feelings through a series of colors, cultures and stories? Susanne Langer stated that art is the epitome of human life, the truest record of insight and feelings, in her journal The Culture Importance of Art.
