The Pyramid at Giza
The Great Pyramid of Giza is the only one of the ancient wonders of the world that remains relatively intact today. It was created as a tomb in the Fourth Dynasty Egyptian (2580-2560 B.C.) for the pharaoh Khufu, commonly called Cheops. It was constructed over a 20-year period, most people believe it was built under the supervision of Hemon, or Hemiunu. It is thought that the Great Pyramid was originally 280 cubits tall or 146.5 meters (480.6 ft), but over the years and with erosion eating it away, its present height is 138.8 meters (455.4 ft). Each base side was 440 cubits or 230.4 meters (755.9 ft).The mass of the pyramid is estimated at 5.9 million tons. Based on these estimates, building the pyramid in 20 years would involve installing approximately 800 tons of stone every day. It was also the tallest man made structure for over 3,800 years. Additionally, since it is made of about 2.3 million blocks, it would mean they moved an average of more than 12 of the blocks into place each hour, day and night.
It is located in El Giza, Egypt and is one of three of the pyramids there. It is the most intact ancient wonder of the world. The great pyramid

Scholars say that the Great Pyramid had been opened and robbed by the end of the Middle Kingdom, before the Arab, caliph Abdullah al-Mamun entered the pyramid around AD 820. The Great Pyramid is located at the center of the biggest land mass. The east and west parallel intersects and the north and south meridian intersect at two places on the earth, one in the ocean and the other at the Great
