Life is full of interferences in which we try to steer ourselves towards the pursuit of our own enjoyment. Occasionally, we are presented with obstacles that further us from achieving our ultimate happiness, and when attempting to reach our own contentment we may need others to help guide us towards the correct path towards happiness. We attempt to achieve our happiness through discovering the path that will appease our emotions and help gain individual complacency. So, in order to achieve true bliss, shall we search within ourselves or seek refuge in our encounters with other people? Romeo is very faithful to his friends and views them as an important part of his prosperity. After Mercutio was killed by Tybalt’s hand he lost his calm demeanor and engaged Tybalt in a brawl ending in Tybalt’s death. Romeo forgets about the consequences that will result from him killing Tybalt and ends up getting banished realizing afterwards how this will affect him from being with Juliet and impede him from reaching his happiness this is evident from the quote “ I am fortune’s fool.” Upon hearing from his dedicated servant Balthasar who finds it is in Romeo’s best interest to hear the news of Juliet’s death; it begins to dawn on Romeo that fate has been interfering with him and Juliet being together. However, Romeo does not realize that the course that fate is leading him is not to separate him and juliet but instead will lead him to his untimely demise. Romeo boldly challenges fate “Then I defy you stars!” with Juliet’s death in mind Romeo intends to join her knowing that his only happiness can be reached by being with Juliet. Romeo dies drinking a strong poison that is intended to end his life instantly so he could join Juliet quickly. Romeo remains unaware of the actions of fate that prevent him from the realization that Juliet was actually alive; fate managed to separate the two lovers with the letter from Friar Lawrence never reaching Romeo and his love for Juliet leading to his intentional
