We all know important people that have made an difference in our lives whether we realized it or not. No matter what, we should cherish these people and how their presence has changed us while we still have time with them. These things may be big or small, mentally or physically. They may come from family, friends, or even animals but they will always make a positive change. Those that love you will try their hardest to make you happier. In these stories the relationships of the characters had one thing in common, they wanted to bring them happiness.

In the Goldfish, Sergei and the goldfish have a close bond. Sergei was lonely and sad, so the goldfish gave him company. Although Sergei tried to convince him he wanted to save the last wish,

They helped each other forget the heartbreaking scene that was going to take place, and instead feel happy. “...and a soft laughter ran through the crowd as the people stirred back into position after Mrs. Hutchinson’s arrival.” (pg.29) Although the villagers are aware of this, they all seemed to be creating jokes and laughter to keep themselves calm. It is as if their comfort with each other and their joking and gossiping is a way to keep them sane during this horrendous event. My mother is smart and creative. She is reasonably protective of me but only because she cares. My father is hardworking and very confident.Similarly, my dad can also strict, at times a little more then my mom, but for the same reason. It makes me happy to see how much they care for me. I really understood just how much my parents sacrificed for me when we were moving. They told me one day that we were moving to a different city. I was sad to leave my friends but the move wasn't so fun for them either. Everyday, I saw more and more boxes as I was coming back from school and how much work it was for them. However once it was all over I realized the work was all worth it. I saw how much stress it put on them but they never gave up because they wanted me to be happy.
