Courage as a skill in the business world, is not something that happens over night. Leaders teach themselves over time to make risky decisions. They are great business leaders who progress over the years, but mostly decades and their courageous acts are considered to be calculated risk taking. Will Smith becoming homeless with his child and is faced with multiple road blocks in which seem to constantly set him back. In this article, it states these steps that are a process of calculated courage. The movie shows the actor taking an unpaid internship in order to land a spot as a broker at one the top companies. He did not just land this internship by applying and interviewing; Will smith made multiple attempts to surpass the usual process of even getting his resume looked at, as only a certain amount of interns would be hired and hundreds of applicants showed up. This relates to the component of developing a contingency plan. Another example, I would like to point out from the movie was the scene where the actor skipped the top of the page of cold-calling, at which he was not supposed to do. I believe at this point he asked him self, if I land this deal what could it do to change my life and or career? His decision ultimately landed the largest deal and the movie ended with him getting at the job company. Although, he made risky choices when it came to the way he did things he made the decision to do those because he needed a major life changing event to
