Media is a very important factor in all this because the power it has now is extremely stronger than it was in the past. It reaches places it was not able to approach ten years ago and it is everywhere. A magazine can not be picked up without it having pictures of beautiful women. There is no escaping it. Women see this wherever they go. Then after seeing it over and over again they start internalizing it. They start believing they are too fat, that their nose is too big, or even that they simply are not pretty. This is problematic because it keeps women oppressed, it makes sure women can never fully love themselves. Women are left constantly seeking approval from those around them in search of acceptance. This is all constantly happening and not enough is being done to prevent it.Western ideologies of beauty should be eradicated from today's society as its only goal is to prevent women from valuing their own bodies and appreciating who they truly are in order to make
