Terrorism is not new to the world, it has been used since the early times of recorded history, but it is different today from what it was like in the ancient times. The Sicarii were a Jewish group that has been believed to do the first act of terror in the recorded history, by slaughtering their Roman rulers. In the past, terrorism was for the purpose of ethnic cleansing and to keep a brutal dictatorship in power. Today, the purposes of terrorism haven’t really changed, however it is better to think of terrorism as a modern phenomenon because of the nation states and the mass media that are needed to create terror among the people. Modern terrorism dates back to the 18th century to the reign of terror made by Maxmilien Robespierre in 1793,
