The purpose of my future Children’s Ministry is to help the children build a solid foundational faith. So when they grow up they are better equipped to face trials and temptations and will remain faithful to God during difficult times in their lives. The passage of Scripture that I would put into the purposes box for my future Children’s Ministry is Proverbs 22:6. “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not turn from it”. I chose this piece of Scripture to lead my ministry because it challenges the Children’s Ministers, parents and congregation to equip the child so that they can all work together in their faith.
In my ministry, I want to make sure that at an early age, children are intentionally encouraged to develop a personal relationship with Christ. This is shown in Mark 9:37 when Jesus says to his disciples “Anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf welcomes me, and

By helping children fulfill this profile of humbly receiving Christ will definitely be a step in the right direction to building a solid foundational faith in the lives of the future children in my ministry. This profile is found in the gospel of Matthew 18:3-4. “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven” (Bible gateway). We see that if we do not accept Christ into our lives humbly than we are not welcomed into his kingdom. If we come to Jesus humbly knowing that we need him then we are embracing the child-like faith that he asks for. If the children to keep this mindset of needing to humbly accept Christ than they will be better equipped to go against the trials they face on this
