Between the impaired physical health as a result of the disease or treatments, the impaired mental health and self-efficacy, and the lost sense of control, there’s a far longer battle to conquer when one pushes past cancer. The immense benefits maintaining a physical lifestyle for cancer survivors has been supported through much research, and yet cancer survivors are still a population group that struggles to be physically active on a daily basis. The knowledge of how physical fitness can change one’s health and quality of life is not simply enough to create an increase of physical fitness, due to in part of the survivors having so many barriers to exercising. Research has shown that instilling the value of physical activity as early as possible, adjusting the activities to their specific needs, and incorporating promotional activities that also have psychosocial beneficial factors significantly increase a cancer survivor’s self-efficacy and ability to complete regular physical activities and
