From my opinion I feel that this is bias speaking as an African American student. In studying world history, the scientific revolution was based on new ideas that has been brought to the surface for our society. It is explained that Muslim scholars received their learning from India, Babylonia and Egypt civilizations. We, in America know that Egypt is better known as Africa. Within my culture it is referred to as the “Mother Land”. The Muslim scholars advanced in places such as Cordoba and Baghdad and went on to begin the first world’s universities. Can you imagine how great this was? These scholars expanded in areas such as mathematics, medicine, astronomy and physics. The scholars had great inventions such as algebra. Algebra in which we know as a style of language in which we demonstrate a repetitive process through patterns. The Muslim scholars went on to algorithm. This is referred to as a process in which a sequence of rules are to follow by problem solving. Algorithm as we know is mainly used for division. The scholars went on to record great works. During the medieval times, it is stated that Nicolaus Copernicus born in 1473 was known as an Aristotelian. Copernicus believed that the stars, planets and earth all revolved around the sun. Through change a great leader known as Martin Luther stepped in to make changes to bring peace to the two religions. Through defeat came destruction with the Catholics and Calvinist.
