The 'Protagonists In Forrest Gump'

The main protagonist in the novel Forrest Gump is Forrest Gump. Forrest is named after his ancestor Nathan Bedford Forrest, a Scotch-Irish American and a noted Confederate general in the American Civil War. Some examples of Forrest being the main protagonist are Forrest always trying to do the right thing which shows his heroic traits and protagonists usually try to do the right thing. Even after Bubba died, he still continues to fulfill their dreams of making a successful shrimp business. When Big Sam’s cannibalistic tribe was going to eat Major Fritch, Sue (the male orangutan) and Forrest, it was because Forrest lost a game of chess against Sam; to buy time Forrest says, I got to go pee giving them enough time for Major Fritch, Sue, and him to escape. …show more content…
I feel that it would make the story joyful, happier, and maybe more suitable for younger kids to read. Some kids may not find Jenny marring Donald a happy ending. Changing this event would change many others events like Forrest giving, donating 80% of the money, he made with his shrimp company to Jenny’s family for his son. Other changes would include Forrest being a bit happier because he ended up with his dream girl. I would consider reading another book by this author for a couple reasons. The spelling, to show that certain characters are slow person or maybe a slow thinker many words are spelt wrong. Second is spelled secont. Thinking is spelled thinkin and so on. The characters, many characters in Forrest Gump are all very lovable, unique, and entertaining characters to read about. Another reason I would consider reading this author again is because he made a sequel and would be interesting what other adventures has Forrest gotten himself

George Milton, a character from the book “Of Mice of Men” who in my opinion is a hero archetype. The hero archetype is a character who battles evil and helps the nature of good. He fits this archetype well because throughout the whole book he helps Lennie and kinda tries to lead him to the right path. He watches over Lennie and tries to keep him out of trouble. I choose this character because he seemed nice and different than other characters.…

The Premise Forrest Gump is a movie detailing the life of an Alabama born man with a low I.Q. In a very realistic fashion, the audience follows Forrest as he grows through his life. Although the movie is a simplistic picture of the life of a single man, it also somewhat satirically details many of the events the fictional character would have lived through and provides a life-like picture of many people with psychological disorders in the acquaintances Forrest makes through his adventures. One of these acquaintances is Jenny Curran, who became Gump’s friend on his first day of school.…

“Be yourself.” I have heard this phrase hundreds of times throughout my life. However, how can you ask someone to be their self if you do not explain to them what that truly means? Being true to who you are, or your identity, is not easy; it requires confidence and a sense of pride about who you are and who you want to be. Our identities are constantly changing based on the people we meet and the experiences we encounter.…

Forrest Gump Forrest Gump is a famous fictional film that documents the life of a simple man who experiences many historical occurrences from the 1950’s to the early 1980’s. Written under the genres of both Drama, Romance and Comedy, it manages to capture the essence of all three (mostly doing its best work between comedy and drama). Its wit and humor will make you laugh while its honesty, tragedy and sentimentality encourage reflection. The movie succeeds not only in content, but execution, pertaining specifically to the special effects artists who were able to place Forrest amidst many historical events and people in various footage.…
