The whole process leading up to the murder is very costly in legal and processing, and there are other options on how to handle the people who commit violent crimes. If the justice system only used the sentence of life in prison, it would save tax payers money, continue to keep criminals away from society, and prevent the killing of the wrongly accused and convicted.
