As stated in the article it says that they will be able to properly perform “CPR, needle decompression, and airway management.” They say that now they will be able to have real life situations with environmental issues rather just sit in the classroom and learn this information. I think bringing in these simulation modules will be an effective learning tool and not have people be as scared or unsure what to do in an emergency situation for the first time. All scenarios can be changed or modified by using a computer, to make all scenarios different. The one downfall I found about these mannequins are they cost around $30,000; what is nice is that this SimMan is designed to be used outdoors and in situations in the rain even with all the wires and electronics found on the inside of the mannequin. Of course, all technology can be improved and I really hope that they will decrease the cost because it could really help Wilderness Medicine and Search and Rescue teams to properly train their team members for more realistic situations and how to properly handle
