The Pros And Cons Of Welfare

Welfare has been misused in the United States and the working class has been affected. Welfare is defined as "aid in the form of money or necessities for those in need" (Webster). It is a system of government that taxes the money of working class citizens to help lower class citizens in need of support. Welfare can be supportive in many ways such as health care and food stamps. All you have to do is sign up and have your back ground checked to make sure you're not an undocumented worker and then you will have welfare, but the problem is that some people mistreat it and makes it harder for those in need. Even though welfare has many benefits, people are looking for a way to avoid working because some people do not believe they need to work if the government pays them money every week and it effects the working-class citizens.
The benefits of welfare are that it provides food stamps and children education to low income families or to people who have become unemployed that are in need of assistance. Working citizens are taxed on income which is deducted from their paychecks. With more people the government has to support, the larger the deduction in citizens paychecks.
