Quite naturally, most people would believe that consumers would not support companies that are not ethically sound. Consumers expect enterprises to make a profit as they provide a service to the world, but not at its expense. Most people believe that the reward for a company to be ethically sound and socially responsible should attract consumers to purchase the products provided. Moreover, the result of a company that is a bad company is that the consumer would boycott this company, but it is not that clear cut. Animal lovers boycott syndicates that harm animals, but companies that have a brand or provide a product that most people love they can mentally justify the unethical practices. This particular situation is important because corporations have a responsibility to all its stakeholders. Unfortunately, the large emissions from these vehicles pollute the environment, which affects the populous as well, which could result in chronic and life threatening illnesses, which affects us now and for many generations to come. It takes all of us working together to prevent further damage to the earth. There are already laws in place to safeguard us from the unethical practices and lack of social responsibility of corporations globally. Corporations should not forget that providing a service or product should not take precedence over the health and welfare of the populous.
