US Department of Defense’s headquarters Pentagon will reportedly soon go “open source” -- a term used for accessible codes, published for all to read and see. This is after Senator Mike Rounds introduced the amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), as reported by American media network The Verge.
The tech news wrote that the Department of Defense may be compelled to go open source for various reasons. One is that by availing the open-source software, the Pentagon can possibly adopt the technology advances happening outside its scope.
