It is common to hear spouses being thrown in jail for assisting in their significant other’s death. Michael fought long and hard so that his wife could have the best option for her life. Another good outcome from this situation was the group TerriPAC. Michael created TerriPAC to raise money to support right-to-die candidates and oppose candidates who had voted against them [government involvement] (Lytle, 2005). Another pro was from the family’s side. Terri’s parents, Robert and Mary Schindler, created the “Terri Schiavo Life and Hope Network”. This was a group that helps people within the same type of situation as Terri. The group was a little skewed since the family would put up videos of Terri with captions that said “They’re Going to Kill My Daughter Terri Schiavo Unless Good People Like You Help us Stop Them.” People would then send in hundreds and eventually $300,000 for donations (Nohlgren and Zucco, …show more content…
