Social media has always been a great channel for meeting new people and expressing one’s own view. Social media sites are sites shaped to keep in touch with friends, and family. They allow people to post statuses, view videos and search for job opportunity. People can make their own profile distinct to them by categorizing their interests, and customizing other features.

Social media trend has become a cultural and social power that has molded many individuals lives over the progression of a few years. There are numerous different social media networks that folks use, and they have a variety of differences related with each one. The three top social media trends are Facebook, You-tube and LinkedIn. One benefit of LinkedIn is that it can be a valued tool that can assist individuals further their careers. LinkedIn consumers can search for people in specific companies or position that they may be interested in and make new acquaintances based on these measures. LinkedIn also provides many jobs that are introduced on the website and people can apply for these positions straight through the site. Users also have the option to post their resume and profession information right on their personal pages, so employers can see info about when and where a person has worked and what type of work they have done. The site makes it easy to gain a sense for someone's career and what kinds of expert skills that they might have. Disadvantages of LinkedIn include the fact that it is restricted to professional networking only.
