My potential controversy that i have been thinking about deals with self-driving trucks; specifically self-driving eighteen-wheelers. The highway I-35 runs right through the city of Austin and it is not uncommon to hear about car crashes that happen on it. Many times these crashes become fatal when an eighteen-wheeler is involved. A truck company based in San Francisco called Otto, and many other companies has started testing these self driving trucks. Self-driving trucks, in comparison to human driven trucks will be “safer and less costly” a few years down the road.
