The Pros And Cons Of Racial Profiling

People have always said never judge a book by its cover, and to always treat everyone the same. Yet, they are the same people that discriminate and make people feel less of themselves. This results in stereotypes, people are categorized into groups and this causes fragmentation and segregation. A prime example is the method that police officers use known as racial profiling. Many believe that this is the best way to catch criminals but in reality all it does is make people feel as if they have been placed in a group that is unwanted. Every time an individual is stopped they feel as if they are a part of that group, the ‘group’ that when people walk by are scared and fear for themselves. Being a proud Black or Latino for example is now something that is hard to do.
