To begin with the secondary sources that will be most relevant to this project would be recent articles, debates, polls, surveys, and even articles about the events that led up to the decision to drop the bomb. First, all the background information, interviews, meeting notes will aid in my research to get a better understanding to why and how the decision was attained to drop the atomic bomb. However, it is equally important to understand the historical content, political, social and economic trends that follow after and important event, because it will help to understand how things changed and how they will influence our decisions in the future. For example, the Red Scare did have a major impact on the effects on the society and the U.S government, which raised concerns about the communists.
