This pollution contaminates the air indoors and outdoors. It’s caused from smoke, dust, and gases. With these three ingredients entering the atmosphere, it makes life difficult for humans, plants, and animals because of the unhygienic air. The scary thing about the pollution is it can be visible or invisible. There are two types of pollutants and when air pollution occurs, things are grouped in one of these two categories. They are primary air pollutants and secondary pollutants. Primary air pollutants are things that happen to be the direct result of the process. Secondary pollutants are basically a reaction from the …show more content…
The effects are acid rain, global warming, effects on wildlife, heart problems, eutrophication, and depletion of the ozone layer. When fossil fuels are burned, harmful oxides are released in the air. When it rains, the water combines with the oxides and it becomes acid rain. Acid rain has the potential to cause great danger to plants, animals, and humans. Global Warming has been an issue for a while. With increase in sea levels, melting of icebergs, and rising temperatures all over the world, we could be facing a disaster. The effect of wildlife pertains to the thought that animals have to face air pollution just as we do. There are toxins that can pollute the water and cause problems for animal habit. Also chemical released in the air could force animals to change locations. Cancer has always been a scary disease to have and it continues to take so many lives. Air pollution can cause heart conditions, cancer, and other damaging things to the body. There has been numerous of deaths because of indirect and direct air pollution. Eutrophication results from nitrogen in pollutants being developed over the sea 's surface. Eventually it turns into algae and affects all wildlife present. Depletion of the ozone layer is effected from hydro chlorofluorocarbons and chlorofluorocarbons. As the ozone layer worsens, this could potentially cause eye and skin
