Thankfully, most of those injuries were minor and have long since healed. Unfortunately, the injury to my back has not been so cooperative. The following is a synopsis of the past twelve (12) weeks.
On October 27, 2016, I was examined by Dr. Green at Doctor’s Care. He asked me a few questions and decided that it would be best for me to undergo physical therapy and placed on “restrictive duty”. After waiting several days, I was granted approval for four (4) weeks (12 visits) of physical therapy, which began on November 2nd. During that time, I did not feel any positive progression.
On November 15th, at the halfway mark (2 weeks) of physical therapy, I was reevaluated at Doctor’s Care. This time I saw Dr. Long. Dr. Long asked me a few questions and then decided that I should complete the course of physical therapy, despite my lack of progression. On this visit I saw Dr. Patel. Dr. Patel asked me if physical therapy was helping and I told him that I could not feel a positive change. Dr. Patel asked me what my MRI identified as the problem. I informed Dr. Patel that I had not undergone an MRI. Dr. Patel said that an MRI should have been the first course of action so that the injury could be diagnosed and properly treated. Dr. Patel immediately ordered an MRI, which was not performed until December 11,
