Younger Bobcats living on campus do not need cars. In fact, most errands are within walking distance. However, once you become an upperclassman and move off campus, your hunt for available daily and yearly parking begins. Gretchen Stoehr a fifth-year senior in the college of Early Childhood Education said, “For my first two years of college, I had a car but it was unnecessary, everything I needed was at arm’s reach: CVS, bars, restaurants, and classes. Honestly, you don’t need a car until you’re a third or fourth year student because that’s when you’ll be living off campus, on your own." Inevitably, these spots will cost you a pretty dime, but if you want to avoid spending hundreds in tickets, do yourself a favor and try to find a lot that is relatively cheap. Remember Bobcats, future bobcats, and onlookers, if you see someone in the street throwing a fit, it’s most likely they’ve experienced the wrath of Athens parking–the Bobcat
