The first thing that stands out to me as a boon of organized activities is the postive influence of commitment. It gives children an experiance of playing to ones strength and empowering others by making up for their weaknesses and vice versa. Learning to commuicate over direction and obstalces is a needed interpersonal skill that will only enrich their adult lives. The ealier you start the development of that skill, the more it with flourish in the years to come.
And lastly, seeing their goals met will encourage a sense of pride once acknowledged by their peers, parents and community and will also help support the bonds of those involved. From the peers that helped them, to the parents that empowered them to the community that will reap the benefits of their hard work, it is an investment of time in our future that simply is a wise choice.
Encouraging kids to get involved in organized activities early can do nothing but empower them as children and as adults. While free-form play is good occasionally, the postives of structure and the character building experiances of organized activities are something that will flourish for years to
