Social media has transitioned into a place where activities such as advertising, political propaganda or fundraising can reach thousands of people almost instantly. An organization has the possibility of reaching a more diverse audience in the hopes of finding more people to fight for cause and achieve a common goal. Different states have different laws; therefore, board members and staff need to do some research that could affect the organizations funding program.

Charities and organizations have identified how online fundraising can impact the set path on achieving a goal. The Internet combined with current technology have opened multiple windows of opportunity for organizations to connect with individuals and companies

Not knowing how many people will be interested in giving, it would be ideal for us to determine two things: a certain amount and a deadline. It is easier for individuals to know the amount and then give than giving without knowing what the goal amount is. At the same time, setting a deadline can influence a donors giving. For example, one may say that today is the last day to contribute and if I don’t contribute today I won’t get to do it until next year
We have to be specific on who we want to help or what we are trying to accomplish. How do we differentiate from others making a similar effort? Why should someone contribute to our organization instead of others? How is our approach or solution unique? Answering these questions should provide contributors with the information they need to support our cause and motivate them to give. Once we have reached our deadline, we have to show gratitude to those who contributed.
Recognition is a good way to start recruiting individuals for our next event. We may want to utilize different methods of approach depending on the size of each individual or organization’s contribution. It is worth mentioning that we have a small window for response time, so our response time has to be almost immediate to guarantee and hopefully increase the amount a donor
