The government system was created by the founding fathers to prevent anarchy. This system has helped the country run since its creation. Unfortunately, there are time in which democracy comes to a halt due to the disagreements between the government parties in the house of congress and the House of Representatives. The disagreement can go as far as to some politicians shutting down the government to stop a bill from passing. The amount of adults without insurance dropped by 30.1 percent according to the Data from Centers for Disease Control and prevention, Urban Institute, and costs of hospital care. (Eichenwald) Those who couldn’t afford health insurance are now able to afford it. Insurance companies cannot deny people coverage as they were doing before. No one can be denied coverage due to previous health issues. Now that more people have insurance, they will be visiting the doctor more often therefore creating a higher need in jobs for the medical field. (Sipek) Ever since the affordable care act has taken effect, we can see the significant improvement it has had in the health industry as shown in the image on the left. (McCanne) health care gained 1 million new and is prepared to increase according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. (Eichenwald) Another great effect is that insurance companies now have to compete against other companies to offer the price therefor making it more affordable. As of January 2014, according to AMN, 8 million have been covered and 20 million more are expected to be covered by 2020. (Sipek) The more people that are covered, the less people will be in debt due to an unexpected emergency room visit. So far Obama care has proven to run well. No insurance company can cancel or deny someone’s of coverage due to preexisting conditions. Insurance companies won’t go bankrupt due more insurance buyer coming in that probably won’t use their insurance anytime soon. Obama care is one great solution to solving this health care problem we had faced for years. Where many people were uninsured and those who were insured weren’t exactly covered. Insurance companies looked for loopholes for their own personal gain. Leaving those who thought they were covered with a huge bill to pay. The government has finally found a solution to this injustice that has been going on for decades. The medical insurance companies have been taking money from the people and government. Finally they have focused on the ones who had too little. This could be a step in the right direction for this country. In the long run, those who really need care will have it without going into debt. Treating their problem before them their health worsens. More Americans will be at peace of mind that they are covered.
