It has created a worse competition among the powerful countries of the world and the result is clear; that it has created a fear and mistrust among the nations. Most people believe that having nuclear weapons in one’s country can give them more power and enhance their security level but in my opinion, Nuclear weapons are harmful for all countries. If used intentionally or by mistake, it can eradicate human life in the area. As long as any country has these weapons, others will want them, and the world will be an unsafe place for living. Many countries with smaller nuclear arsenals such as Pakistan and India are engaged in regional conflicts and there are concerns of nuclear war between them. Nuclear weapons are expensive to build and maintain, and some countries would rather spend more funds for development of nuclear weapons than to ensure the welfare of their citizens. For example, the welfare of North Koreans are very low but their government always spends more funds to purchase new weapons and develop their nuclear reactors.
