For as long as fast food restaurants have been around, the increase of processed foods in the United States have risen and this has lead to many illnesses. However, the United States is not the only country affected, it is more than half of the world that is being taken over by many diseases such as different cancers, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, etc. These maladies could be simply prevented by adopting a whole foods plant based diet. A whole foods plant based diet is a healthy diet in which a person does not consume any meat or dairy products. One of the many reasons people have chosen to take on this diet is that it can help ease and even reverse many of the pains they are suffering from such as chronic back pains, neck and chest pains. It can also help reverse high cholesterol, diabetes, and obesity. Another reason in which people have chosen to switch to this lifestyle is that it can lower the cost of medical care as they are getting affected by their illnesses less than before. Moreover, switching to a plant based diet can also help the environment and the livestock population as many of the animals we consume have been treated cruelly.
