Furthermore, identifying specific issues and educating public about those issues related to government intervention is the key to attracting more people to libertarian ideals. For instance, issues related to taxicabs and Uber and how regulation in that particular industry is harming the public

Rough Draft- Super-PACs: How the Riches’ Votes Matter More than Everyone Else’s America prides itself in having equality of opinion, however some opinions are valued more than others. This irony is due to the presence of super-PACs in recent American elections. These super-PACs are organizations that allow the wealthy to have a louder voice over the many by flooding the airwaves with propaganda and by donating to politicians to buy favors from them. The presence of Super-PACs in the 2016 elections have resulted in candidates ignoring their constituents and increasing partisanship due to money from super-PACs that go to negative advertising and persuading politicians to favor those who donate to their campaign rather than their constituents.…

I believe they should be tougher restrictions on interest groups, and they should be laws both federal and state level that investigates them thoroughly. People usually think that if one does not like taxes, then they tend to associate with the Republicans, if they want more social programs they associate themselves with the Democrats. One fact that people always seem to forget is that the United States of America is not a two party state and that there are several other parties out there with which the people can associate themselves with depending upon their personal preferences on how a country should be run or what policies they would like to see implemented. There are several reasons why the two major parties dominate the political landscape. One of the…

Throughout the novel, Anthem by Ayn Rand, it portrayed a lot of characteristics that relate to libertarianism. Looking back at old assignments, “Libertarianism is a theory of justice which claims that we owe to one another absolute respect for individual liberty rights. They proclaim a doctrine of self-ownership--i.e. the right to use one's body and resources as one sees fit so long as one does not interfere with the rights of others to do the same.” There are a lot of events that happened in the novel that show a libertarian way of life.…

If you are attacked you have a right and an obligation to defend our country and the constitution is very clear on that. So, yes in defense. I do not believe there is ever a moral justification to start the war.” Many libertarians believe in an isolationism unless the country is provoked into an attack.…

The Libertarian Party highly values liberty, and idealizes a world where every individual makes his or her own choices for themselves. They have elected Gary Johnson as president and William Weld as vice president. The national debt, war on drugs, and civil liberties are three main issues to the candidate. Gary Johnson strongly believes that excessive spending by the government is one of the greatest threats to national security, legalizing marijuana would create a safer society and an industry that can aid the American economy, and the average American’s civil liberties are being threatened by an overly intrusive government.…

Throughout the United States many controversial topics like abortion, suicide, having premarital sex and having children out of wedlock are all giving in to the pleasure and pain. When we can be sovereign to reason and reason governs us then we are completely free. Kant’s theory stresses the importance of life; Kant believes humans are so different due to the fact that, our brains are so developed that we can rationalizes things that are making us free. Freedom is not just the lack of obstacles to do what we want, in which this is the mentality practiced amongst libertarians, rather true freedom is the ability to act autonomously.…

Antithetically, sceptics believe that a society centred on libertarian justice may result in a Hobbesian state. Primitive human instincts may take over, causing people to become entirely self interested. Ideologies, such as helping those in need, which are upheld and enforced by systems like the welfare state, may filter out, and be replaced with the notion that, as long as our rights are not being violated, it does not matter. Nozick, defends libertarianism against this view by saying that philanthropic charities would still exist, but they would be voluntary, as opposed to the state forcing the responsibility to look after others upon…

People may go on and have their counter analyses on my views of libertarianism. A question such as “ No one may have told you to eat, but the fact that you were hungry, was that a choice or did you just get hungry?” I would have to agree with the fact that it does contradict that I am acting on my free will. I wasn’t hungry by choice; it is something within me that drives me to be hungry without much of an actual choice. Being or not being hungry is out of my control no matter what I appeal to do.…
